Easy Crockpot Apple Cobbler recipe perfect for fall or anytime of the year!

I don’t make many desserts in my slow cooker, but when I do, there’s a good chance that dessert is going to be Crock Pot Apple Cobbler.  My family loves an apple dessert, and I love dishes that tell me to toss things in my slow cooker and give it a stir. This Crock Pot Apple Cobbler recipe makes everyone happy!

CROCK POT APPLE COBBLER

INGREDIENTS
6 cups apples, peeled and sliced (Gala is preferred)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon, divided
1/4 tsp allspice
1 stick of butter, melted
1 1/4 cup flour
1 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS

Spray slow cooker with nonstick spray.
Add apples to slow cooker.

In a large bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
Add butter chunks and combine with fingers or pastry cutter until mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle crumbly flour mixture over apples, and pat down with fingers.

Place a clean dishtowel over slow cooker, and add slow cooker lid on top of the dishtowel.

Cover and cook on high 2 1/2 hours.
Uncover and cook about an hour more, or until topping is set and apples are to desired softness.

A quick and easy dessert that pairs perfectly with vanilla ice cream!

Total Time 3 hours 50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced (Gala is preferred)
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 TBSP all-purpose flour
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • Dash of ground nutmeg

FOR THE TOPPING

  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 8TBSP (1 stick) butter, cut into cubes

Instructions

  1. Spray slow cooker with nonstick spray.
  2. Add apples to slow cooker.

  1. You have melted butter as an ingredient at the beginning of article, but then the recipe says to cut in chunks of butter. Which is it please?

  2. I made this recipe today which happens to be a Thursday lol. It’s delicious!!!! I had it with heavy cream (the British way) & my husband had it with vanilla ice cream. The beginning part of the recipe says you need melted butter but the recipe itself calls for it to be cut in to the flour (see previous comment). After reading through it completely it became obvious the melted butter is not correct. However, someone who is new to baking may not know this.
