My friend and I Just Want to Pee Alone co-author Lydia at Rants from Mommyland offered up a few guest spots on her blog last month, and the rest of our co-authors and I all begged to participate. Since she’s a mother, she knew it was easier to let us all play than have to listen to us whine, and she created a summer guest blogging series to shut us up. Yesterday was my turn!
And my pal Stephanie from When Crazy Meets Exhaustion has a series called Oversharing: I Ain’t Scarrred which features some of the most embarrassing, disgusting, hilarious stories of her own and of guest contributors. I have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for my Group Poop story to be shared with her readers, and today is the day! I’m really excited, because who doesn’t like talking about humiliating shit stories with strangers?
If you are visiting from Rants From Mommyland or When Crazy Meets Exhaustion: WELCOME! If you are a regular Funny is Family reader, stick around. There’s something in here for you, too.

I’m Amy, and I’m the boss around here. I’m the mom of two kids and the wife of one husband. Five years ago, that husband of mine got a job in Connecticut, and we moved from the Pacific Northwest waayyyy over here. I became accustomed to saying “package store” instead of liquor store, but I will never call a shopping cart or a stroller a “carriage”. My ability to adapt to my surroundings only goes so far.

I began blogging last September, and I shamelessly use my kids and my husband as blog material. I am a firm believer in the fact that one can love their family and mock them regularly. If you are a parent and you don’t laugh at your kids as well as with your kids, you’re missing out.

I am a humor writer, but sometimes feel pulled to pen a more serious piece. Turns out, I can accurately track my cycle by looking back on my archived posts.

Once a week I share a slow cooker recipe because I love the shizz out of my Crock Pot. Take a look at Crock Pot Thursday for honest reviews and feedback.
Thank you for stopping by my place. I hope you stick around and get comfortable. Feel free to take off your bra, grab a beer, and kick up your feet. Just ignore the kids in the background, and get your read on. These four posts are a good snapshot of my life:

I write other stuff, too. I have been featured on various other sites, which you can find HERE, and as you already know, I have an essay in the best-selling humor anthology I Just Want to Pee Alone.
Follow me on FacebookTwitterPinterest, and Google+ so you don’t miss any of my embarrassing stories.
