I wasn’t feeling very funny last week, but I was feeling nostalgic. I grew up in a home that was small in size but full of love, and I shared some memories in Wednesday’s post. I miss my family, I miss my friends, and I miss The Little Blue House.
Last week’s Crock Pot Thursday recipe tastes as good as it looks, and is quick and easy. Creamy Macaroni and Cheese is a hit with the kids (duh), and with the grown-ups. Your pants may not think it’s a great idea, though. It’s a Paula Deen recipe, after all.
I have a best friend named Megan. If you are actually keeping track of my friends, you’ll have noticed I have several “best friends”. That’s because I subscribe to Mindy Kaling’s philosophy that best friend is a tier, not a person. Another best friend had a baby last week. And another one just sent me a box of her kids’ hand-me-downs.
Megan and I have been friends for almost 18 years, and when I interviewed her for my post, Disney Tips From an Expert, I really wanted to ask her non-Disney questions. Like, “Why did you only pretend to drink on my 19th birthday, and make me wear that beer box on my head?” Or, “How is it that you know more song lyrics than anyone I’ve ever met? Do you practice, or are you some kind of savant?” But I didn’t. I kept it professional, and didn’t once mention the Great Arby’s Upchuck of 1996. Because I’m a grown-up.
Since I haven’t mentioned my book, I Just Want to Pee Alone, for several days, I’m afraid you may have forgotten about it. Here are a few graphics I made last week that were shared by some of my friends and co-contributors.

A friend read my essay in front of me, and it was incredibly fun and terribly embarrassing at the same time. I love watching people laugh at my words, but since my essay covers some personal topics, it made me blush. I’m glad he liked it, though. That’s right – HE. This book isn’t just for the ladies, y’all. Fellas are enjoying it, too.
